Airspace OMS 2008 will identify airports with straight-in and/or circling approach procedures automatically. Your Airspace Airport Analysis Report (apt) will identify critical information with regards to potential impact upon Instrument Approach Procedures (IAP) at the specific airport. The report will recommend additional analysis if a proposed structure lies within the circling approach area of the highest category aircraft permitted to land. If the airport has a straight-in IAP it will also be identified. The closer a proposed site is to an airport with instrument approach procedures the greater the possibility is that the procedure will impact and the FAA will object to the proposed structure.
